Personality:
Severus is very intelligent and extremely anti-social. The constant bullying by James Potter and Sirius Black has made this already withdrawn boy highly resentful, especially since they are both purebloods, and mudbloods like Lily Evans still show him kindness. Every time she does, he see's it as an attack, like she's having fun with him at his expense. In fact, Severus is paranoid and feels that there is no one on the planet that would not hesitate to hurt him.
History:
Though it's not something he likes to shout out from the rooftops, Snape is the son of Eileen Prince, a witch, and Tobias Snape, a Muggle.
